DENNIS MOZAK

Founder & CEO

As a leader in the community, Dennis Mozak has been involved in the construction industry for more than 30 years. Dennis started Synergy Projects in 1996 with the main objective of building a flexible, forward thinking, client focused company. His ability to think outside the box and desire to provide complete building solutions, ultimately led to the start of the Synergy Group of Companies.

As our Founder and CEO, Dennis is responsible for the overall vision of the Synergy Group. He actively provides mentorship and guidance to the executive team and ensures the group’s culture remains true to its roots. He continues to be driven by a deep passion to bring construction into the future.

TIM VARUGHESE

President, Synergy Group of Companies

Tim joined the Synergy Projects team four years ago because he believed in Dennis’ vision, that Synergy would be something unique to the industries it serves. Since joining, Tim has developed a passion to grow an interdependent, diversified and construction focused organization that will help bring construction into the future.

As President, Tim is responsible for all aspects of the Synergy Group’s operations, corporate management and investments. He leads the organization's strategic planning and has been integral in Synergy’s growth and diversification over the past 3 years. Tim also leads the Synergy Group’s Executive Team – working to implement the Group’s vision across all of its businesses.

Senior Vice President

With over 35 years of experience in Construction Management, Design Build and more traditional construction services, Barry Robertson leverages his experience to ensure the Synergy Group can execute on expansion, growth and other key project initiatives. Barry is also the company’s resident expert on constructability and assists the team to ensure projects across the group are delivered on time and on budget. 

Barry has been with Synergy for over 18 years with progressively more responsibility, most recently he was the Chief Operating Officer of Synergy Projects Ltd – the firms commercial contracting business in Canada.

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Kimberly manages all financial operations within the Synergy Group of Companies, including acquisitions, taxation, treasury and planning.

With over 15 years of experience, as a Chartered Accountant, and having experience in public and private practice, Kim has provided key leadership in the company’s acquisition and planning. Kim is also responsible for the group’s corporate Information Technology infrastructure and Services across the group. She continues to be a key asset for the organization's growth.

VP Sales and Marketing

From business development to starting Synero, our facility management company, Antoine has held several positions since joining Synergy in 2009.

Now as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Antoine works closely with divisional leadership to provide guidance and planning on sales and marketing activities, ensuring Synergy continues to be a market leader in Edmonton. He is responsible to develop the strategic marketing initiatives including positioning, branding and long-term market penetration.

Tim Taitinger

President, Synergy Building Innovation

Tim Taitinger has been with Synergy for 18 years, having held various integral roles in the company. Previously Tim has spent time as a Sr. Project Manager, Director of Synergy Special Projects, Vice President of Operations and is now the President of Synergy Building Innovation. 

Over his career Tim has built over 1.5 million square feet of space for clients across Western Canada. Tim is very passionate about finding sustainable and innovative solutions for his clients, and responsible for the overall operational execution of the group.

Rob mcgrath

President, Synergy Projects

Rob brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion to the Synergy Projects team. As President, Rob is responsible for the overall operations of the flagship commercial construction business, leading the estimating, project development and operations team. 

Rob is a professional engineer, graduating from the University of Ottawa. He spent the first 16 years of his career in various project roles including Field Engineering, Estimating, and Project Management on commercial projects throughout the country.
